As the government is committed to implementing technology in all educational institutions, the University of Mauritius has responded by mounting this flexible, online course to respond to the needs of educators to familiarize themselves with the effective Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation of technology for classrooms. This programme is a continuation and reinforcement of concepts and skills earned at the BSc Educational Technologies and allows educators to broaden their critical understanding of digital technologies in educational contexts.. This course provides the educator with practical problem-solving skills for optimal use of technology- even for low-technology areas based on strong pedagogical principles so as to meet SDGs.
MA Educational Leadership - LC516
In the context of Mauritius aiming at becoming a Knowledge society, our educational institutions should demonstrate keen leadership skills that reflect managing and leading changes for 21stcentury teaching and learning. The programme is designed for educators, school managers and/or administrators who have experience of working in primary schools and secondary colleges and who are willing to develop a better understanding of how educational leadership can influence the experiences of staff and students within and beyond the school environment. This programme is offered in partnership with the Commonwealth of Learning.
Masters in Leadership Development in Information & Communication Technologies and the Knowledge Society - LC 514
The ALICT programme’s overarching goal is to develop a group of African ICT, Education, STI and Knowledge Society leaders that can become agents for changein their own countries and be catalysts for regional cooperation in the domain of ICT, Education, STI and Knowledge Societies both at the country and sub-regional levels. Through this proposal, the programme will consolidate a proven successful initiative in Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda as well as add on new set of countries Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan to build and strengthen visioning, strategic planning and management, policy making and related strategic capacities of future leaders and policy makers in Africa on ICTs’ role in the development of inclusive and sustainable Knowledge Societies in Africa. The contents from this course hail from Open Educational resources at the Dublin City University and the modules are already in ECTS values.

The MSc (by Research) in Educational Technology provides an alternative route to the Masters programme where the major component of the course is based on the conduct of an intensive research work.
The research dissertation carries 30 credits and students have to complete 6 credits on a Research Methodology module. This programme is offered on a 1 year Full-Time basis or on a 2 year Part- Time mode.
